Apple iPhone X with bezel-less display, Face ID launched, available in India from 3rd November

Apple has revealed its flagship series iPhone 8 and 8 plus along with the most advanced iPhone ever, the iPhone X. The 8 duo will be available for pre-order from 15th September in the US and other countries and will be available to buy from 22nd September. In India, both will be available from 29th September 2017. The iPhone X will be up for pre-order starting October 27 and will be official from 3rd November in India.

The iPhone X (iPhone 10) comes with a new FaceID sensor and edge to edge screen (Bezel-Free). It comes in two variants: 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 89,000 while the 256GB version comes at a whopping price of Rs. 1, 02,000. The Smartphone comes in Space Grey and Silver colour option and flaunts glass design with Aerospace-grade 7000 series aluminium frame and IP67 water resistant body.

The Flagship iPhone X has a 5.8 inch OLED True tone Super Retina Display with a pixel density of 458 ppi, true tone display and Oleophobic Coating. Under the hood of X is a Hexa core processor, 3G RAM, A11 Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture, neural engine and Embedded M11 motion coprocessor. The physical home button is replaced with gestures for navigation while Siri is activated by long pressing the lock/unlock button.

Also, the Touch ID is replaced with Face recognition which unlocks the device by looking at it. The Face ID works with Apple Pay and apps that support Apple ID. Other special feature includes Animojis which can create emojis by face gestures.

Coming to the cameras, the X has dual 12 MP rear cameras with one wide angle lens and other a Telephoto lens. The former has f/1.8 aperture while another one comes with f/2.4 aperture. There’s Quad LED true tone flash, portrait lighting feature, dual optical image stabilization, 10X digital Zoom, panorama (up to 63MP), Hybrid IR filter, Live Photos with stabilization to name a few.

 

The dual camera is capable of 4K video recording at 24 fps, 30 fps or 60 fps and Slow motion video support for 1080p at 120 fps or 240 fps. Up front is a 7 Megapixel face time camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture, retina flash, auto HDR and Animoji.

The beast runs on IOS 11 and powered by a 3000mah battery which can last 2 hours more than the Apple iPhone 7. In addition, it claims to offer Up to 21 hours of talk time and up to 12 hours of internet usage on a single charge. It supports both wired and wireless fast charging which can charge the device Up to 50% charge in just 30 minutes.

Connectivity options include 4G Volte, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO, NFC with reader mode, Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology, Wi-Fi calling, Assisted GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS, Wi-Fi calling etc.
