Apple unveiled iPhone 8 plus Smartphone yesterday at an event in San Francisco. The phone will be available from September 15 in several countries on pre order, while in India it will go on sale on 29 September. The starting price of iPhone 8 plus is Rs 73,000 (64 GB) and Rs 86,000 (256 GB). The phone comes in gold, silver, and space gray color variants. The highlight of the phone is facial recognition. The phone has the new A11 Bionic chip for virtual reality experience and is designed with glass and aluminum. It runs on iOs 11 and is water and dust resistant.
As per the specifications the phone has a 5.5 inch HD retina and 3D touch display. It offers 3 GB RAM and come in two internal storage variants 64 GB/ 256 GB. On the camera front IPhone 8 plus is equipped with dual 12 megapixels, wide angle camera with f.1.8 aperture, 2x optical zoom, image stabilization and it has a 7 megapixels face time camera along with f/2.2 aperture.
Some more features that the phone offers are fast and wireless charging which can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes, Siri, I cloud, fingerprint, Airpod support and Apple EarPods with lighting port etc. The phone is powered by a non removable Li-Ion battery which gives a backup time of 21 hours and has various connectivity options such a Wifi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC and USB. IPhone 8 and IPhone X were launched at the same event.
