Asus already announced that it will be launching three variants of Zenfone 2 in India- ZE500CL, ZE550ML and ZE551ML. Asus is going to launch Zenfone 2 on 23 April in a press event in New Delhi.
The main attraction of the event will be the Zenfone 2 4GB RAM variant which is world’s first Smartphone to come with 4GB RAM. However the other two variants will also be unveiled at the event. Customers will be curious about the pricing of 4GB variant, if priced rightly might create huge sales figure for Asus in India.
Asus will sell Zenfone 2 on Flipkart but not via flash sales, we expect Asus to price 4GB variant around 18,000-19000.
All the variants will be powered by the Intel Atom SOC and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The base Zenfone 2 ZE550CL variant to feature with a 1.6GHz Z2560 processor while ZE550ML variant comes with a 1.8GHz Quad core Intel atom Z2560 processor. The 4GB variant ZE551ML runs on a 2.3 GHz 64-bit quad core Z3580 processor.
The base variant ZE550CL sports a 5 inch HD screen with corning Gorilla glass 3 protection and supports single SIM. It also features a 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera while the other variants comes with an 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera with dual tone flash.
Asus Zenfone2 ZE551ML (4GB variant) features a 5.5 inch Full HD screen while the ZE550ML model also Sports a 5.5 inch HD display.
Both the higher variants are backed up a 3000mah battery the base ZE550CL takes the juice from 2500mah battery.
All the variants were revealed in Taiwan with their pricing and Indian prices might be similar as well. Before its Indian launch the Zenfone 2 will make its debut in Malaysia on 21 April 2015.
