At its annual event Xiaomi announced its flagship smartphone Mi 8 and now they have announced a new variant of the handset Mi 8 Pro. The company has re- positioned the fingerprint sensor from the back of the phone to under the display in front. Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Specifications:
The smartphone sports a 6.21 inch AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and sports a resolution of 2,248 x 1,080 pixels. The phone also has a pressure sensitive in display fingerprint sensor for biometrics which activates the unlocking process once you place your finger on the screen, it works 29% faster as compared to the in-display fingerprint sensor on the Mi 8.It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset and runs on Android Oreo-based MIUI 10.
For connectivity the phone offers options like: 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wifi, NFC and USB type-C. The phone has a powerful 3,400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology.
Storage:
The smartphone has two RAM options 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and both offer 128GB internal memory.

The Mi 8 pro is equipped with a 12 mega-pixel rear camera with 1/2.6″ Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, dual-tone LED flash, 4-axis OIS, Optical zoom, 4K video recording, secondary 12 mega-pixel rear camera Samsung S5K3M3 sensor, f/2.4 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 2X zoom and a 20 mega-pixel front camera with IR face unlock.
Color and price:
It comes in Gradient versions with glass back as well as Transparent Titanium version. The Mi 8 Pro will come in twilight gold gradient color and it will get a price tag of INR 34,000 for the base 6 GB variant and INR 3,599 for the top end 8 GB RAM model.
