After introducing Note 3 Plus earlier this month, Coolpad has now launched a flagship called Max in India at Rs. 24,999. The premium metal body wrapped Smartphone is Amazon India exclusive and will be available from 12th May 2016 Rose gold and royal Gold colors. The talking point about the Smartphone is that it let you access two Facebook, Whatsapp and other social media accounts in a single device by Bi-Login feature.
The Coolpad Max has a 5.5 inch full HD IPS 2.5D curved display with anti-fingerprint coating and corning gorilla glass 4 anti-scratch protection. It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.5GHz aided by Adreno 405 GPU. The China based variant which was unveiled 7or 8 months ago had Snapdragon 615 Soc, so Indian market is getting an upgraded version.
In the Chinese market, it is available in multiple storage and RAM options but for the Indian market it comes only in 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with memory expansion option. On the Software front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with cool UI 8.0 on top. It measures 152×75.5×7.6mm and weighs 170 grams.
The Coolpad Max sports a 13 Megapixel primary rear camera with Dual tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, CMOS sensor and Phase detection auto Focus. At front, there is a 5 Megapixel snapper. It also features a fingerprint scanner placed below the rear camera which is claimed to work well even with wet fingers and unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds.
The Smartphone offers Hybrid dual Sim slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, bluetooth 4.0 etc. The Smartphone packs with 2800mah battery which last up to 17 hours of talktime and up to 310 hours of standby time. The battery also supports a Quick charge 3.0 technology that can provide up to 3 hours of talktime in just 5 minutes of charging.
The Smartphone will face tough competition from Xiaomi Mi 5 and one plus 2 but it’s pricing certainly a bit steep.
