After launching it China, Gionee has introduced Marathon M5 lite in India at a sticker price of Rs. 12,999. The device comes in Golden color shade and is already available via company’s official website. Gionee launched it at the right time as it seems the best alternative available for the Lenovo K4 note. For the Indian market, it comes with 32GB internal memory whereas the China spec variant is available with 16 GB on board storage.
In terms of Specs, Gionee Marathon M5 Lite features a conventional 5 inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution, 293 ppi of pixel density and coated with a layer of Asahi Dragon trial Glass. It is powered by the 1.3GHz quad-core MT6735 Mediatek processor paired with massive 3GB of RAM. As said earlier, it comes with 32GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a micro SD card.
The Marathon M5 Lite’s highlighting point is its huge battery – it comes with a 4000mAh Li-Po battery which is rated to deliver up to 40 hours of talk time, 39 days of standby time along with 68 hours of music playback. It packs with a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and features like Panorama, geo tagging, Face beauty, Pic note, magic focus, professional and take anytime. At front, you get 5 MP snapper with full HD video recording capability.
On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box topped with company’s Amigo UI 3.1 top. Weighing 182 grams, it offers 4G LTE, 3G HSPA, bluetooth 4.0 with AD2P, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Micro USB. Sensors like proximity Sensor, motion sensor, light sensor, E-compass and G-sensor also on board.
