As promised, Huawei’s subsidiary brand Honor has launched in new premium flagship device in India called Honor 8. The Smartphone is priced at Rs. 29999 and will be available to buy via Amazon India, Flipkart and honor store in Pearl White, Sapphire blue and Sunrise Gold colors. It comes with free screen replacement for 3 months; 3 months free replacement service for any manufacturing defect, pan India pick up and drop service and extended warranty for 2 years.
Successor to Honor 7, the device bring vast improvements in areas like hardware, software and design. The Honor 8 comes with a 5.2 inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass on front and rear, 96 percent NTSC color gamut and 423ppi of pixel density. It takes juice from a 2.3GHz Octa core Kirin 950 processor linked with 4GB of RAM and Mali T880-MP4 for graphics. It sports 32GB of internal storage out of which 22GB left vacant for the user. However with the help of a micro SD card you can expand the memory up to 128GB.
The USP of Honor 8 is its 12 MP dual rear camera set up with one of the lenses is monochrome and one is RGB (color). The primary camera has dual LED flash, hybrid auto focus, 6p lens, f/2.2 aperture and 1.4um pixel size. It also supports range of features like virtual aperture shooting, night shot, beauty mode, Panorama, HDR, touch to capture, delayed shot, panorama, HDR, watermark, audio note, capture smiles, sound snap and much more.
Selfies can be taken via an 8 megapixel front facing camera which gets f/2.4 aperture, panoramic Selfie and delayed shooting support. Both the cameras are capable full HD video recording at 30fps. It also comes with fingerprint sensor which is located at the back below the dual cameras. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 wrapped under EMUI 4.1.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with hotspot for up to 8 devices, hybrid dual Sim slots, GPS, bluetooth 4.2 and USB Type-C. The Smartphone comes with IR sensor which lets you control your television, AC, refrigerator etc. It packs with ambient light sensor, proximity, infrared sensor, compass, gyroscope, accelerometer sensor. To keep things running, it gets a 3000mah battery with fast charging support which is rated to charge the device from 0-47 percent in just 30 minutes.
