Lenovo ZUK Z1 with Cyanogen OS, fingerprint sensor launched at Rs. 13499

Lenovo has finally announced the launch of Cyanogen OS based ‘ZUK Z1’ Smartphone in India, priced at 13,499. It will be available via Amazon India in a flash sale mode scheduled for 19th May, 2016 and registrations for the flash sale starts today. The Smartphone is available only in black color for the Indian market. The USP of the device is that is based on Android Lollipop 5.1 based Cyanogen 12.1 OS and fingerprint sensor on the home button.

The Smartphone packs a 5.5 inch full HD IPS display featuring 100% NTSC color gamut, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 1920*1080 pixels of display resolution. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor abets by an Adreno 330 GPU. The device has 3GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of on-board non expandable storage.

Though it runs on Lollipop based Cyanogen v 12.1 but it is upgradable to Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 based Cyanogen 13.0. The ZUK Z1 bears a 13 Megapixel camera at rear with LED flash, 1.2um pixels, OIS, f/2.2 aperture and Sony Exmor RS sensor. Up front is an 8MP camera with 1.2um pixel size and Omni vision OV8865 sensor.

The handset sports metal on the sides and measures just 8.9mm thick. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE (support for all Indian bands), GPS/GLONASS, bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n with Wi-Fi direct, USB type-C 3.0 port etc. The device draws its power from a 4100mah battery that supports fast charging technology.
