Gionee has expanded its range of Selfie centric Smartphone in India with the launch of S6s. Priced at Rs. 17,999, it go on sale exclusively via Amazon India and will be available soon at brick and mortar stores across the country in the coming weeks. It is available in two color shades- Mocha Gold and Latte Gold.
The highlight of the Smartphone is the 8 megapixel front camera which is accompanied by LED flash for better low light imaging and it also feature Image+ and face beauty modes. Gionee S6s looks identical to its predecessor launched in February this year but comes with significant differences over the S6 in terms of display, operating system and camera.
Coming to the specs, the Dual Sim flaunts a 5.5 inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display with 1920*1080 pixels of screen resolution. It draws power from a 1.3 GHz Octa core Mediatek MT6753 processor aided by 3 gigs of RAM and Mali T-720 GPU for graphics. The in-built memory stands at 32GB that further expandable up to 128GB by inserting a Micro SD card.
On the software front, it now runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under Amigo 3.2 UI. Besides 8MP Selfie camera, it is also equipped with a 13MP primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, HD video recording. You get range of support features like time lapse, slow motion, face beauty modes, HDR, mood photo, text recognition, GIF, macro, panorama, macro, night mode etc.
The device sports fingerprint sensor at the back which is rated to unlock the device in just 0.03 seconds. The connectivity options include dual Sim slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE, bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB 2.0, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, headphone jack and USB OTG. The handset measures 15.5 x 0.8 x 8.27 cm and weighs 168 grams. Hardware is backed by a 3150mah in-built battery which keeps the things running.
