Xiaomi Mi Max officially launched in India; Price starts at Rs. 14,999

Xiaomi has announced the launch of its new Smartphone ‘Mi Max’ its biggest Smartphone yet, price starts at Rs. 14,999. The Smartphone is available in two variants one is 3GB RAM/Snapdragon 650, priced at Rs. 14,999 while a 4GB RAM/Snapdragon 652 powered version is available at Rs. 19,999. The Smartphone graces in two colors – Gold and Silver and it will be available via flash sale model. The first sale will take place on 6th July 2016 and one can register at company official website Mi.com.

Following to it, the device will be available via open sales from July 13 across other online partners. Despite being such a huge Phablet it manages to look elegant and slim thanks to smart engineering. It wears metal unibody design with massive 6.44 inch Full HD IPS display, 1920*1080 pixels of display resolution, 342ppi of pixel density and 2.5D curved glass on top. The display is coated with Corning Gorilla glass 3 to save it from scratches.

On the inside, the device houses a 1.8 GHz Hexa core Snapdragon 650 processor clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB of in-built storage. The Giant Phablet is also available with a 1.8 Octa Core Snapdragon 652 processor paired with meaty 4GB of RAM and huge 128GB of internal storage; both the variants are supported by Adreno 510 GPU 600 MHZ and expandable memory option up to 256GB via a Micro SD card.

On the photography front, it is equipped with a 16 megapixel rear camera with two tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. Up front it has a 5 megapixel with 85 degree wide angle lens, f/2.0 aperture and 36 beautify beauty profiles. The fingerprint sensor makes its way at the rear panel just below the primary camera unit.

The Phablet packs with bunch of connectivity features like Hybrid dual Sim slot, bluetooth 4.2, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS with GLONASS, Micro USB 2.0, USB OTG and FM radio with recording feature. Xiaomi has provided huge 4850mah battery for Mi Max which supports Qualcomm quick charge technology.

The Mi Max runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with MI UI7 on top and will soon receive MIUI 8 update. Despite being 6.44 inch and in-built 4850mah battery, it just weighs 205 grams and 7.5mm thick.  Alongside the launch of Mi Max, Xiaomi also announced MIUI 8 which packs with some handful new features like video editing, image editing, new calculator that can convert currencies, temperatures etc.
