MWC 2018: Asus Zenfone 5 announced

Asus Company has just announced their latest Smartphone Zenfone 5 at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona. As per the company the phone has an AI Display with auto color temperate adjustment and smart screen. Zenfone 5 has a 6.2-inch screen and is powered by Snapdragon 636. Check out other details of the phone below:

Asus Zenfone 5 specifications:

Zenfone 5 sports a 6.2 inch Full HD curved glass super IPS display with 95.4% NTSC color gamut, 500 nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and Corning Glass protection. The phone is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 636 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 509 GPU and has Hybrid Dual SIM slots. The device runs on Android 8.0 (oreo) with ZenUI 5.0 and has a fingerprint sensor as well. In connectivity section, it offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, Type C USB and GPS. It is packed with 3300 mAh battery with fast charging and AI charging.

Zenfone 5 offers two storage options of 4GB and 6 GB RAM with 64GB/128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card.


In the camera department, the smartphone comes with 2-megapixel camera with LED flash, Sony IMEX sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 0.03s Tri-tech autofocus, Pro mode, secondary 8 Megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, OV8856 sensor, 120-degree wide angle lens and 8 Megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Price and availability

The Asus Zenfone 5 will go on sale from April in Midnight blue and Meteor sliver colors. The company has not disclosed the pricing yet.
