Nokia 8 with dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 835 launched in India at Rs. 36999

HMD global, the brand who is responsible for the revival of Nokia has launched the flagship Nokia 8 in India. The Smartphone is priced at Rs. 36,999 and will be available via Amazon India and other select retail offline stores such as Croma, Reliance, Sangeetha mobiles etc. The device comes in three colour options: Blue, Steel and Polished Copper. Nokia 8 features a number of highlights such as the dual rear camera with Bothies camera feature, metal unibody design made of 6000 series aluminium.

As for the specs, Nokia 8 has a 5.3-inch IPS QHD display with the 2.5D finish, resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB.

As said, it sports dual rear camera setup which includes two 13 MP sensors- one is a monochrome sensor with OIS and other is the RGB sensor. Both comes with dual tone LED flash, 1.12-micron pixels, PDAF, IR range finder, phase detection autofocus and 76.9m wide angle lens. The bothie mode allows you to capture from both the front and rear cameras for live streaming. For Selfies, it is equipped with a 13MP autofocus camera with ZEISS optics, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and 78.4° lens.

The Nokia 8 comes with Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box but will soon get Oreo update. It is also Splashproof thanks to IP54 ratings and has a fingerprint integrated on its home button. It is also the first Smartphone to feature Nokia OZO Audio. Sensors on board are an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, digital compass, barometer, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.

The Hybrid dual Sim device is powered by a 3090mah battery with Quick charge 3.0. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (MIMO), GPS/ GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1 and NFC. At tape, it measures 151.5 x 73.7 x 7.9 mm.
