Nokia 8 with Snapdragon 835, 13MP dual rear cameras announced

Ending months of leaks and rumours, Nokia 8 has been finally launched. It is likely to cost at 599 Euros i.e. 45,000 INR and will be introduced in India around Diwali. This is the first Smartphone to be developed after HMD Global, Carl Zeiss collaboration. It will be launched in Tempered Blue, Polished Blue, Steel and Polished Copper colours. Once launched, it will take on Apple I phone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S8.

Coming to the specs, it comes with a 5.3-inch QHD display 554 pixels of screen resolution and Corning Gorilla glass 5. It is powered packed by an Octa Core Snapdragon 835 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM. Up its sleeve is a 64GB internal storage which can be further expandable up to 256GB using a Micro SD card.

It runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box and will receive Android O update as earliest. Nokia 8 bears 13 MP dual rear camera set up with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12 um pixel size, PDAF and dual tone LED flash. Up front is a 13MP front camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, ZEISS optics and 1.12um pixel size. The camera has bothie mode that allows both front and rear camera to click photos at the same time.

For connectivity, it offers dual Sim, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 3.5mm jack and NFC. The device is backed by a 3090mah battery with Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0 support. Other features include fingerprint sensor at the home button, 3 microphones, and Nokia OZO 360° spatial surround sound.
