Oppo, one of the premium Smartphone makers has launched two of its new flagships in the R series – the R7 plus and R7 lite in India. The former is priced at Rs. 29,990 and will be available in Gold color from 25th September 2015 while the latter one would cost you at Rs. 17,990 and will be available from 10th September 2015 in Silver and Gold colors.
Oppo R7 Lite
Let us start with Oppo R7 lite first which sports a 5inch HD AMOLED 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection and 1280×720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SOC with Adreno 615 GPU and aided by 2GB RAM.
Oppo R7 lite has 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via Micro SD card slot. The device comes with dual hybrid SIM slots and interesting thing is that users can use one of the two SIM slots can be used for memory extension by inserting a Micro SD card.
The Smartphone bears a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Sony IMX214 sensor along with an 8MP front snapper. The handset runs on Android lollipop 5.1 OS with color OS 2.1 on top of it.
The device takes the juice from a 2320mah battery that comes with VOOC rapid charge feature. Connectivity features on dual SIM R7 lite include 4G LTE, 3G, bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac.
Oppo R7 Plus
The second Smartphone in the lineup falls in luxury category and flaunts better specifications as compared to R7 lite. The Oppo R7 plus comes with bigger 6.0 inch Full HD AMOLED 2.5D curved screen with 1080×1920 pixels and protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla glass 3. The device is encased in metal uni-body frame.
Powering the R7 plus is a bigger 1.5 GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor supported by Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. On memory front, it boasts 16GB internal storage with memory expansion slot.
On camera front it also comes with a 13-8MP set like R7 lite but it features an ISOCELL image sensor technology. It also has a fingerprint sensor located below the rear camera. Other features like connectivity options, operating system remains similar to R7 lite.
It is backed by a non removable 4100mah battery and that too comes with VOOC fast charging feature which is tuned to deliver 2 hours of talktime in five minutes of charging. It measures at 158×82×7.75 mm and weighs 203 grams which is on the heavier side.
