According to reports, a new Panasonic Smartphone called Eluga Icon 2 is now available to buy for Rs. 8499 at e-commerce website Amazon India in brown color variant. The Smartphone is the successor to last year’s Eluga Icon which was launched at an asking price of Rs. 10,999. At this price, it will take on Lenovo Vibe K5 Note, Coolpad Note 3 and Redmi Note 3 in the Indian Smartphone market.
Coming to the specs, Eluga Icon 2 has a 5.5 inch HD (1280*720pixels) IPS display with pixel density of 267ppi. It is fuelled by 1.3GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6735processor linked with 2GB RAM and supports 16GB of internal storage that’s further expandable up to 32GB using a Micro SD card slot.
On the optics front, it sports a 13 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash accompanied by a 5MP front facing camera for Selfies and video calling. On the contrary, its predecessor was available with 8MP front and 13MP rear cameras. The Smartphone measures 155 x 75 x 7.9 mm and weighs 120 grams.
Moreover, for connectivity Panasonic Eluga Icon 2 comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, bluetooth 4.1, micro USB 2.0, GPS with A-GPS, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack. The Eluga Icon 2 runs on Android 5.1 lollipop and backed by a 3000mah battery which can last entire day with mixed usage.
The Panasonic Eluga Icon was available with range of cool features such as iSense, Hot-know, Smart awake, air swipe unlock, blink play, Smart awake and double wake to up the screen. It will be very interesting to see how the absence of these features going to impact the sales of new Eluga Icon 2.
