Samsung India has launched two new Smartphones in the country named as Galaxy J5 priced at Rs. 11,999 and Galaxy J7 at Rs. 14,999 INR. Both these Smartphones will be exclusively available via Flipkart from 24th July 2015 and pre-bookings starts today which lasts till 23rd of July. To lure buyers Samsung is offering a flip cover of worth Rs. 999 in just Rs. 199 as a part of introductory offer.
Samsung Galaxy J5 sports a 5 inch Super Amoled HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels though it is available with TFT display in China. Powering the device is a 1.2 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 410 processor, accompanied by 1.5GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU.
The Indian Spec version of J5 features 8GB of in-built storage as compared to 16GB of China based model, though one can expand it up to 128GB via Micro SD card. The 2600mah battery keeps the phone alive and it is rated to deliver stand by time of 342 hours.
On the other hand, J7 has a 5.5 inch TFT display with same pixels resolution as J5 and it is aided by a more powerful 1.5GHz Octa core Exynos 7580 processor coupled with same amount of RAM as Galaxy J5 i.e. 1.5GB. It includes an internal storage of 16GB with a memory expandable slot to expand it up to 128GB. The device takes its juice from a 3000mah battery rated to deliver 354 hours of standby time.
On camera front, both the Smartphones comes equipped with a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. There is a 5 megapixel front facing camera with LED flash and 120 degree wide angle lens to ensure good quality pictures and video calling.
In terms of connectivity, Galaxy J5 and J7 support 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, bluetooth 4.1v, Micro USB and GLONASS. Last but not the least, both the Smartphones runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box.
Samsung is also offering some attractive offers to the buyers of Galaxy J5 and J7 in the form of Rs. 3200 in-app purchase credit from Gameloft, unlimited music downloads via Airtel Wynk music app of worth Rs. 594 for 6 months and double data package for Airtel customers on 4G for 6 months.
