As promised, Samsung has finally launched its Flagship Galaxy Note 8 in India. The Smartphone is priced at Rs. 67,900 and will be available to buy starting 21st September 2017 from Amazon India, Samsung e-shop and other retail channels. Samsung has already taking pre-orders for the same and providing a wireless charger and one-time screen replacement. It will be available in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colours.
Besides, it comes with new S pen Stylus with finer tip, Bixby assistant with dedicated hardware button, improved pressure sensitivity and IP68 ratings for up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.
As for the specs, it flaunts a 6.3 inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 522ppi of pixel density. The Flagship is powered by an Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor accompanied by 6GB RAM and Mali-G71 MP20 GPU. It offers 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using a Micro SD card.
The Dual SIm (Hybrid) runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box. The highlight of the device is a dual rear camera set up and it is the first Samsung to come with this feature. The combo sports a 12 MP telephoto lens and a 12MP wide angle lens with latter feature OIS, f/1.7 aperture, 77-degree view and 1.4-micron pixel size. The telephoto lens comes with 10X digital zoom, 2X zoom and number of modes such as Live focus, pro mode, food mode, panorama and slow motion. For Selfies, it comes equipped with an 8MP auto focus front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture, wide-angle lens.
Connectivity options on offer are 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS/A-GPS and MST. It supports a range of sensors such as fingerprint, heart rate sensor, barometer, ambient light, gyroscope, RGB light, IRIS, proximity and digital compass sensor. It is powered by a 3300mAh battery with fast charging both on wired and wireless. The device measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6mm and weighs 195 grams.
