The domestic electronic giant Videocon mobiles have launched an affordable device called Challenger V40UE in India with a sticker price of Rs. 3799. The Smartphone is available via e-commerce portal Shopclues and comes in three color shades- White, black and Grey. The only highlighting point seems to be the Android Lollipop 5.1 OS but other than this spec doesn’t please at all.
The Smartphone packs a 4 inch FWVGA TFT display having pixel density of 233ppi and it is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad core SC7731 processor clubbed with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB using a Micro SD card.
It sports a 3.2 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash and has features such as slow mo, video recording, video playback and recording, auto focus and make darling. For selfies and video calling, it is equipped with 0.3 MP front facing camera. The Smartphone is backed by a 1400mah battery which is claimed to deliver up to 5 hours of talktime and 3 days of standby time.
In terms of connectivity, it offers 3G, 2G, dual Sim, WI-Fi 802.11b/g/n, bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio and Micro USB 2.0. The Handset measures 64.8 x 125.25 x 10.5 mm and consist G and proximity sensors. It also has some pre-loaded applications such as Hungama Music, Gameloft games, V-Secure, V-safe and Opera Mini.
