The Chinese Smartphone maker Xiaomi has been teasing a Puzzle on its official and Facebook page from quite a while now for upcoming devices. That Crossword was created for the launch of two phones includes Redmi 2 and Mi-pad which was launched in an event. Xiaomi has introduced the successor of Redmi 1s in India christened as Redmi 2 price at Rs. 6999.

Redmi 2 sports a 4.7 inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and it comes with Dragontrail glass protection.

Redmi 2 has a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor while Redmi 1s had a 1.6 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor. Redmi 2 is coupled to 1GB RAM and 8GB in built storage which can be expanded to 32GB using a Micro SD card.  Xiaomi will also launch Redmi 2 with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage soon.

It has an 8 megapixel rear camera with 5 element lens, f/2.2 aperture, 28mm wide angle lens and can record HD videos while front has better camera of 2MP as compared to Redmi 1s 1.6 MP.

Redmi 2 runs of Android 4.4 Kitkat with MIUI v6 on top and comes with connectivity options such as Bluetooth, WI-Fi, GPS with GLONASS, USB OTG support, Beidou for navigation and Dual SIM slot and both supports 4G Sims.

Redmi 2 will be available in Yellow, Pink, Grey, Green and white color shades. You can register for it on e-commerce site Flipkart for the flash sale on 24th March. According to Xiaomi 30,000 to 50,000 units will be available in the first flash sale.

Apart from Redmi 2 Xiaomi has also introduced Mi-pad tablet for Rs. 12,999 INR with 7.9 inch IPS display and 326 ppi pixel density. Mi-Pad is powered by a 2.2 GHz Quad core ARM cortex A-15 processor coupled to 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 128GB via Micro SD card. On camera front it features an 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor and a 5MP front facing camera for video calling.

Mi-pad sports a 6700mah battery which offers 16 hours HD video playback, 86 hours of normal music playback and 130 hours of standby time. It will be available only in white color variant only from 24th March 2015 onwards on Flipkart without any registration.
