After multiple teasers and rumors, Xiaomi just announced that they will be launching their flagship device – Mi Mix 2 on September 11, a day before the launch of Apple Iphone 8. The company is touting the phone as 2.0 bezel-less display.
Xiaomi made this announcement by sharing a silhouette image of Mi Mix 2. The company also confirmed that it will be designed by Philippe Starck, a French designer who designed Mi Mix as well. The phone is expected to be big size, more than Mi Mix which has 6.4 inch LCD display.
The designer of Mi Mix 2 recently uploaded a video of the phone which shows ultra narrow bezel on one side and camera on the other side of the phone. Following the predecessor, it will use cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic system and similar to all Mi phone’s the fingerprint sensor will be at the back.
Instead of LCD display, the phone may have a curved AMOLED display. It is rumored that the phone will have the latest processor Snapdragon 835 SoC and a 6 GB RAM. The device may also have dual rear cameras with a 19-megapixel primary camera and dual stereos speakers at the bottom of the device. Mi Mix 2 might have USB connectivity including a USB-C port. On the pricing front, it is expected to be priced at Rs 48,092.
The launch event of Mi Mix 2 will take place on September 11th in China. As the launch is just two weeks away we expect some more details to be revealed soon. However, we doubt that it will be launched in India.
