Xiaomi Redmi 4 with Snapdragon 435 launched in India, price starts at Rs. 6999

Xiaomi Redmi 4, company’s another budget Smartphone has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 6999. The device is available in three variants- 2GB RAM with 16GB in-built storage for Rs. 6999, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 8999 while 4GB RAM with 64GB internal memory cost at Rs. 10,999. Redmi 4 will be available from 23rd May 2017 on Mi.com and Amazon India in Gold and Matte black colors. You can pre-book it at Mi.com and Amazon from today.

As for the specifications, the budgeted device flaunts a 5 inch HD 2.5D curved glass display with 72% NTSC Gamut ratio. Under the hood is a 1.4GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC clubbed with 2GB/ 3GB/ 4GB of RAM. The internal storage can be further expanded up to 128GB using a Micro SD card.

For optics, Redmi 4 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash. Up front is a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture. It runs MIUI 8 based Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box. The device also features a fingerprint sensor at rear panel for enhanced security.

Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio. Powering it is a massive 4100mah battery that is rated to last for two days and can deliver up to 18 days of standby time. The Smartphone measures 139.24 x 69.96 x8.65 mm and weighs 150 grams.
