Micromax Subsidiary YU brand was launched in 2014 with introduction of Yureka handset and since then number of devices have become its part with most recent being the flagship Yunicorn. Now joining the bandwagon is Yureka S after listing on company’s official and GFX bench websites. The device is also available on eBay India at Rs. 13,299 as compared to its original price of Rs. 12,999.
As for the specs, Yureka S comes with a 5.2 inch full HD display featuring 1920*1020 pixels of screen resolution and Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection. It utilizes an Octa Core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz aided by 3GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.
It bears 16GB of on board storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB by inserting a Micro SD card. Like Yunicorn plus, it too runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 based Cyanogen 12.1 operating system.
On the optics front, it packs with a 13 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, OmniVision OV13850 sensor and capable of 1080p video recording. Up front is a 5MP front facing camera comes equipped with 84 degree wide angle lens, OmniVision OV5693 sensor and f/2.2 aperture.
Besides, it offers hybrid dual Sim slots, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi hotspot, Micro USB 2.0, FM radio and 3.5mm jack. The Yureka S takes the juice from a 3000mah battery claims to deliver up to 9 hours of talktime and up to 450 hours of standby time. It packs with range of sensors including P-sensor, G-sensor, L-sensor, electronic compass, 6-axis gyroscope.
