Asus launches new Zenfone Max with Android Marshmallow at Rs. 9999

Asus today has launched new variant of Zenfone Max which comes with range of improvements over its predecessor. The brand has roped in with Bollywood Diva Sonakshi Sinha as its brand ambassador in India. The new version is powered by a new and powerful processor, comes with double internal storage and runs on latest operating system. The new Zenfone Max comes in two variants 2GB RAM version is priced at Rs. 9999 while 3GB RAM is available at Rs. 12,999. The Smartphone will be available via Flipkart, Asus stores and comes in Orange, blue, white and black color shades.

As for the specs, it continue to sports 5.5 inch HD display with 1280*720 pixels of screen resolution and a layer of Corning Gorilla glass 4. It is now powered by 1.5 GHz Octa core Snapdragon 615 processor replacing the Quad core 410 on the old model.  The Smartphone now offers double internal storage which stands at 32GB along with memory expandable option up to 64GB via a Micro SD card. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box while earlier models had Android Lollipop 5.1 with Zen UI on top.

The Smartphone offers the same 13 Megapixel laser auto focus rear camera with real tone flash, f/2.0 aperture, 75 degree wide angle lens and pixel master 2.0 for better image quality. It also comes with 5MP front facing camera that sports f/2.0 aperture and 85 degree wide angle lens. The dual device is armed by a colossal 5000mah battery which can deliver 38 hours of talktime and 914 hours of standby time and it also double up as a powerbank to charge other devices.

Connectivity wise, it offers 4G LTE, bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, 3G HSPA+, GLONASS etc. At this price range, it will lock its horns with Meizu M3 note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Le Eco Le 1s.
