Asus Zenfone 3S Max with 3GB RAM, 5000mah battery launched for Rs 14999

Amidst name confusion, Asus has launched its new budget centric device called Zenfone 3s Max in India for Rs. 14,999. The successor to last year’s Zenfone Max runs on Android 7.0 out of the box and comes equipped with better processor. With main focus on battery, 3s Max juiced by a beefy 5000mah battery which can last up to two days. The Smartphone will be available via online and offline retailers in Sand Gold and black colors.

Other highlights includes metal unibody design made of aluminium and fingerprint sensor integrated on the home button claims to unlock the device in 0.5 seconds. Coming to the specs, Zenfone 3s Max has a 5.2 inch HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1280*720 pixels. It utilizes an Octa Core Mediatek MT6750 64- bit processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and linked with 3GB RAM and Mali-T860 for graphics. The device has 32GB of internal storage that’s further extendable up to 2TB via a Micro SD card.

As for photography, 3s Max bears a 13MP primary auto focus rear camera with dual tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, close-up macro photography (5 cm) and Zero Shutter Lag. Rear camera features include HDR mode, manual mode, super resolution, Selfie mode, night mode, photo effect mode, low light mode, Panorama mode and time lapse mode.

Up front is an 8-megapixel camera with an 85-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture, low light mode and beautification mode. It runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with Zen UI 3.0 on top. Connectivity options include hybrid dual Sim, 4G with VoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, Micro USB, bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio. Asus Zenfone 3s Max measures 73.7 x 149.5 x 8.85 mm and weighs 178 grams. The 5000mah battery claims to deliver up to 28 hours of talktime and up to 34 days of standby time. It also supports reverse charging so it can be used as a powerbank.
