Gionee has silently rolled out an affordable 4G Smartphone called P5L in India which is listed on company’s official website at Rs. 8499. Announced in November 2014, it took almost one and half years to get launched in India. The device comes in range of elegant color shade options such as red, blue, yellow, black, white and gold.
It comes with 5 inch HD IPS display with 1280*720 pixels resolution, 294ppi of pixel density and OnCell capacitive display technology. It is fuelled by a 1.3GHz 64-bit Mediatek Quad core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali T-720GPU. It bears 16GB of internal memory which is further extendable up to 128GB using a Micro SD card.
For imaging, it includes 8 megapixel of rear camera with LED flash and features like professional, Panorama, face beauty, Pic note, filter, night and Geo tagging. At front, it is equipped with 5MP camera.
The highlight of the device is 4GLTE with VoLTE (Voice over LTE) supported by other standard connectivity features like dual SIM, GPS/A-GPS, bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with Wi-Fi hotspot, FM radio.
The device comes with some pre-loaded apps such as Gionee Xender, battery doctor, Child mode, Whatsapp, clean master, Hungama, touchpal 2015, 360 security lite, WPS office, Snapdeal and Child mode. The handset is backed by a 2300mah battery which is claimed to deliver 9 hours of talktime and 300 hours of standby time on 3G networks. It measures 143.5 x 72 x 8.3 mm and weighs 146.9 grams.
