HTC on Monday launched the Desire 728G Dual SIM for INR 17,990 in India.

The HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM smartphone runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and shipped with a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. It comes with a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, BSI sensor and LED flash. Also, you can take selfies with a 5 megapixel fixed focus front facing camera. The phone is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC processor with GPU at 1.3GHz associated with a RAM of 1.5 GB.

The HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM has an in-built storage of 16GB which can be expandable via microSD card up to 2TB. The flaw with this smartphone is that it does not support 4G which may become a prime reason to discourage the prospective buyers. On the other hand, it features 3G, FM radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and Micro-USB connectivity. It is supported by a 2800mAh battery that offers near about 21 hours of talk time and also up to 485 hours of standby time in 3G. Dimensionally, it measures 157.9×77.84×7.87mm and weighs 153 grams in packet. More or less like other recent launches by HTC, the Desire 728G Dual SIM has a rocking HTC Boom Sound technology which is harmonized by Dolby Audio as well.

The Desire 728G Dual SIM smartphone is available in White Luxury and Purple Myst colors.

Faisal Siddiqui, President, HTC South Asia said “The new HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM brings distinctive design into a feature-rich smartphone, providing you with a great value smartphone which you can truly make your own. We want to provide a powerful, fully customizable experience to our customers, and the HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM brings this in abundance.”
