Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphone in India. The K20 sports a seventh-generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor, Aura Prime Design with a 3D glass back with flame pattern in blue and red, while there is a unique Kevlar gradient texture in the black version. The smartphone features a 6.39 Full HD+ 19.5:9 aspect ratio AMOLED HDR display with DCI-P3 color gamut, 103.8% NTSC Color Gamut, 600nit (HBM) / 430nit (Typ) brightness and is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform with Adreno 618 GPU. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and the back. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 and offers Dual SIM (nano + nano). The device also offers an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and it is splashproof (P2i coating) as well. On the connectivity front, it offers Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS+ GLONASS and USB Type-C.
The K20 offers 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB / 128GB internal storage.
The smartphone is equipped with 48 megapixel rear camera with Dual LED Flash, f/1.75 aperture, 1/2″ Sony IMX582 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, 6P lens, 8MP 1/4″ telephoto lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture for 2x lossless zoom and 13 megapixel 1/3″ 124.8° ultra-wide sensor, 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture, 4k 30 fps video recording. It has a 20-megapixel pop-up front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Price and color:
The Redmi K20 is available in Carbon Black, Flame Red and Glacier Blue colors and is priced at INR 21,999 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version come with a price tag of INR. 23,999 and will be available from Flip kart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores from 22nd July. It also comes with a hard case in the box.
