Xiaomi launched its much-awaited Redmi 5 smartphone in India after intense waiting and speculations. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 gets a 5.7-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display with 450 nits Brightness. For the processor, it is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. The Redmi 5 runs on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) OS with MIUI 9 and also possesses a fingerprint sensor at the back. The connectivity options the device carries are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS + GLONASS. Its dimension measure 151.8 × 72.8 × 7.7mm and it weighs 157g.
Camera
The optics sections have a 12MP primary camera with LED Flash, and f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front-facing shooter with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.
Storage
The Redmi 5 has 2GB RAM with 16GB storage options, a 3GB RAM version with 32GB storage options and a 4GB RAM version with 64GB storage options that are expandable up to 128GB with micro SD card.
Battery
It comes backed by a 3300mAh (typical) / 3200mAh (minimum) battery.
Colors
The Redmi 5 gives Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Lake Blue color options to choose from.

The phone is priced at 7999 INR for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version, 8999 INR for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and 10999 INR for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version.
