Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 6 in India. This is the latest smartphone in the Redmi series. It is the successor of the Redmi 5 that was launched earlier. The phone gets face unlock feature as well as AI portrait with AI beautify features. The device carries a polycarbonate back panel with a brushed metal-like finish, and has a fingerprint sensor at the back. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 comes packed by a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display, 1000:1 contrast ratio and would be powered by a 2GHz octa-core media tek helio P22 (MT6762) 12nm processor with 650MHz IMG powerVR GE8320 GPU. The dual SIM phone that has a fingerprint sensor at the back runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 and is upgradable to MIUI 10. The connectivity options of the Redmi 6 have dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, and dual microphones.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 gets a 12MP primary camera with LED Flash, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 5MP camera. For the front it has 5MP front-facing shooter with f/2.2 aperture.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 comes in Grey, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold colors.
The smartphone is priced at 7999 INR for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, and the 64GB storage version costs 9499 INR. It will go on sale on Flipkart as well as Mi.com starting September 10th.
