Micromax has expanded its affordable range of Smartphones by introducing the new canvas Fire 5, priced at Rs. 6199. With this price, it faces competition from Xiaomi Redmi prime 2 and Lenovo Vibe K5. The Fire 5 will succeed to last year’s Canvas Fire 4 and it will be available grey, Silver and Champagne colors. In addition, the device is bundled with 6 months free premium Gaana subscription featuring unlimited song downloads. It also comes with dual front speakers with Auro 3D sound and it act as an earpiece because the handset has gravity calling feature which user to take calls from any side.
Seeking the popularity of big screen Smartphone Micromax has equipped Canvas Fire 5 with a 5.5 inch HD display with 1280*720 pixels of display resolution and it is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core Mediatek processor matched with 1GB of RAM.
There is 16GB of in-built storage which is further expandable up to 64GB using a Micro SD card. For photography, it utilizes 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera which also sport LED flash.
The Entry level device runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box and backed by a decent size 2500mah battery which can deliver up to 8.5 hours of talktime and 450 hours of standby time. For connectivity, it includes 3G HSPA+, bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, dual SIM, Micro USB 2.0 etc.
