OnePlus X with 13MP camera, 3GB RAM launched in India at Rs. 16,999

OnePlus has finally launched its third Smartphone in India, christened as OnePlus X, device is an affordable version of OnePlus one and OnePlus 2. OnePlus X is available in two variants- Onyx and Ceramic, the former is priced at Rs. 16,999 will be available from November 5th 2015 via not so admired invite system on Amazon India.

The Ceramic version is priced close to OnePlus 2 at Rs. 22,999 and it will be made available from 24th November 2015. OnePlus also stated that only 10,000 units of the Ceramic variant would be put on sales globally.

In terms of Specs, the device features a 5 inch Full HD AMOLED display with a Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection and offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU. The device packs in with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage expandable using a Micro SD card slot up to 128GB.

On software front, it runs on Oxygen OS based Android Lollipop 5.1.1. The handset comes with same set of camera configuration of 13MP at rear assisted by LED flash, 1080p video recording, ISOCELL 32M sensor, f/2.2 aperture and phase detection AF. At front, you get an 8 megapixel shooter with wide angle lens and OV8858 sensor. The Smartphone has a metal frame on the sides.

The Smartphone also has a hybrid set up which lets you use second SIM Slot as a Micro SD slot when needed. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, and BDS. It bears a non removable 2525mah battery. OnePlus X is the first made in India device which will be manufactured locally in Foxconn Sri City facility in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
