Samsung Galaxy Note 7 landed in India at Rs. 59900

A week after revealing the flagship Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has officially launched it in India. The Phablet is priced at Rs. 59900 and will be available from 2nd September in Silver titanium, Onyx Black and Gold Platinum colors. The pre-bookings will be opened from 22nd August to 30th August 2016, in that vary period buyers will be able to buy the VR headset for just Rs. 1990 against its original price of Rs. 7290. Besides, Samsung also introduced Gear Fit 2 at Rs. 13,990 and VR headset for Rs. 7290.

Wearing premium design and metal body, Note 7 sports a 5.7 inch QHD super AMOLED curved dual edge display protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla glass 5 (first phone to come with this technology). Under the hood we find an Octa core Exynos 8890 64 bit processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM. The Smartphone is water and dust resistant and has received IP68 ratings for the same.

It boasts 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB with the help of Micro SD card. It comes with Hybrid Sim slot so if you use a Micro SD card than you have to forgo the second SIM slot for it. It utilizes Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 wrapped under latest touch Wiz UI.

On the optics front, it is equipped with a 12 Megapixel primary camera with LED flash, dual pixels technology, optical image stabilization (OIS), PDAF, f/1.7 aperture and 4K video recording capabilities. A 5 megapixel front facing camera with f/1.7 aperture is also on board for video calling and Selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has an enhanced S Pen with smaller 0.7mm tip and much improved pressure sensitivity which can sense up to 4000 levels of pressure. The S pen has air command magnify functions, screen off memo, Smart selec and enable users to zoom and convert languages. The S pen can be used even in wet conditions as it has IP68 certification.

As for the connectivity, the Phablet has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac with MIMO, GPS/A-GPS, bluetooth 4.2 LE and USB Type-C. It also has some unique features like fingerprint sensor, heart rate sensor, barometer and IRIS scanner which clicks picture of your retina and works even when you’re wearing glasses. The device is backed by a removable 3500mah battery which supports fast charging on both wireless and wired chargers.
