Vivo has announced the launch of its new Selfie focused smartphone called V5 that features 20MP front facing camera christened as Moonlight glow camera. The Smartphone is available for pre-orders and go on sale on 26th November, 2016 at Rs. 17,980. The Vivo V5 will be available in crown gold and grey color variants. The brand has also announced the launch of V5 Plus in the coming months which will be world’s first dual Selfie camera Smartphone.
Coming to the specs, Vivo V5 sports a 5.5 inch HD display with 1280*720 pixels of screen resolution and 2.5D curved gorilla glass protection. Under the skin is a 1.5 GHz Octa core Mediatek MT6750 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM and Mali T860 GPU. The device includes 32GB of internal storage and supports Micro SD card up to 128GB.
Apart from 20MP front facing camera with moonlight flash, f/2.0 aperture, 5p lens and Sony IMX 376 sensor; V5 also sports a 13MP rear camera with phase detection auto focus and LED flash. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box wrapped under Funtouch OS 2.5 on top.
It houses a water resistant fingerprint sensor integrated on the home button which company claims can unlock the device in 0.2 seconds. For connectivity, V5 offers 4G VoLTE, hybrid dual Sim, bluetooth 4.1, GPS+GLONASS, USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 3.5m audio and AK4376 chipset for enhanced audio performance. The handset measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55mm and weighs 154 grams.
