Just In: Samsung J2 Core launched in India

Samsung has just launched the company’s first Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone Galaxy J2 Core in India. The device has a smart manager which delivers automatic RAM management that ensures the device has sufficient free memory and remains fast and optimized. As the phone is under budget category it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor or face unlock.

On the launch, Sumit Walia, Director Mobile, Samsung India said, “Galaxy J2 Core reiterates Samsung’s commitment towards meaningful innovations that delight our customers. We are pleased to integrate industry-first smart memory management solutions that allow apps or content on the memory card. We are also pleased to partner with Google in bringing the latest Android experience for entry-level smartphones with Oreo (Go Edition) on Galaxy J2 Core”.

The smartphone features a 5-inch qHD TFT display and is powered by 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 14nm processor with Mali- T720 MP1 GPU. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) and is dual SIM. In the connectivity section, it offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. Galaxy J2 has a 2600 mAh battery and weighs 154gms.

Storage:

The device offers a 1 GB RAM with 8 GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card.

Camera:

The smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Color and price:

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is available in Gold, Blue, and Black colors and comes with a price tag of INR 6,190 and can be purchased from all retail stores and Samsung eShop starting from today, August 28th.
