Motorola introduces the third Gen model of its ever so successful Moto G series at an event called ‘MymotoBFF’ in New Delhi and India is the first market to receive Moto G 3. With the launch of new GEN Moto G the company is all set to bring severe competition to already overcrowded segment.
This time around new Moto G is available with two variants- the 8GB variant with 1GB of RAM is priced at Rs. 11,999 while the 16GB with 2GB RAM device is available at Rs. 12,999.Though the biggest and much needed change to the Smartphone is the addition of 2GB RAM and 4G LTE compatibility.
It flaunts a 5 inch HD screen with 720×1280 of pixel resolution and Corning glass layer for protection against minor scratches. The new device gets IPX7 certification which means it is water resistance up to 3 feet water and up to 30 minutes.
The new model now houses a 1.4 GHz Quad core 64 bit Snapdragon 410 processor aided by Adreno 306GPU and 1GB/2GB RAM. The device also features a memory expandable slot via Micro SD card up to 32GB.
The Moto G Gen 3 runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 out of the box with chop twice, Quick capture and Moto display. Motorola has also updated the camera on Moto G 3 which now comes with a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, 1080p recording, IR filter and a 5 megapixel front camera with 72 degree wide angle lens replacing the 2MP on its predecessor.
Moto G 2nd GEN was average looking device from the back so to remove that drawback; Motorola has provided a rugged looking back profile with swappable covers. The Motorola Moto Gen 2 is available in black and white color variants with range of colorful back covers.
The Dual SIM supports 4G LTE on Sims with bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack and Micro USB. The device now boasts more powerful battery with 2470mah as compared to 2000mah of previous Gen model.
