Coming Soon: Nokia 9 PureView announced

As expected the HDM global announced the company’s latest flagship smartphone Nokia 9 PureView at an event in MWC. The unique highlight of the phone is its 12MP Penta rear cameras, two RGB and three monochrome lenses to collect up to 10-times the amount of light than a single color sensor, with ZEISS Optics. It is capable of shooting 60-megapixel images in burst mode and can process up to 240 megapixels of data.

At the launch, the company spokesperson said: “Each 12MP JPG image can benefit from outstanding detail in areas of both bright sunlight and dark shadows at the same time with incredible texture. The depth map allows beautiful bokeh, giving you the possibility to adjust focus in Google Photos after you have taken the shot.”

The smartphone features a 5.99-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD p-OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and is powered by 2.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 845 64-bit 10nm mobile platform with Adreno 630 GPU. It will run on Android 9.0 (Pie) and has an In-display Fingerprint sensor. It also has a water-resistant body with IP67 ratings. On the connectivity front, the device offers Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS and USB Type-C. It packs a 3320mAh battery with support for fast charging and Qi wireless charging.

Storage:

The phone will offer a 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB internal storage.

Camera:

The smartphone will be equipped with 12Megapixel Penta (2 x RBG, 3 x mono) rear cameras with f/1.82 aperture, LED flash. Two RGB and three monochrome lenses can collect up to 10-times the amount of light than a single color sensor, with ZEISS Optics. Developed in cooperation with multi-sensor camera company Light, it captures HDR shots using five cameras simultaneously with up to 12.4 stops of dynamic range and a full scene 12MP depth map and fuses it together into one 12MP photo with outstanding dynamic range and depth of field to refocus later.

It is also capable of shooting 60-megapixel images in burst mode and can process up to 240 megapixels of. Nokia 9 PureView carries the ability to capture images in uncompressed RAW “DNG” format and edit them directly on the phone with Adobe Lightroom and Native black-and-white photography. For the perfect selfie, it offers a 20-megapixel front camera.

Price and color:

The Nokia 9 PureView will be available in Midnight Blue color and might come with the Price tag of INR. 49,650 approx and will go on sale in March with pre-orders starting immediately in select markets.
