Samsung just announced the company’s latest foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It has an Armour Aluminium frame, which the company says is its strongest aluminium frame yet. Samsung also claims that it has increased the durability of its flexible displays available on the new models by about 80 per cent over the previous foldable by redesigning the layer structure and using a new protective film. The smartphone features a 7.3-inch (2208 x 1768 pixels) QXGA+ 22.5:18 Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display, 374ppi, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 900 nits(HBM), 1200 nits(peak), Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and 6.2-inch (2268 x 832 pixels) 24.5:9) HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Cover Display, 387ppi, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1000 nits(HBM), 1500 nits(peak. It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5nm Mobile Platform and runs on Android 11 with One UI 3.1. The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is water-resistant.
The displays are the same in size when compared to those of the Galaxy Z Fold 2. However, Samsung has boosted resolution this time to deliver better image results. The cover screen on the new model has also been upgraded with up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 has an under-display camera on top of its folding screen. This is one of the USPs of the foldable phone against the competition and is designed to offer a full-screen experience, without any distraction.
For connectivity, it offers 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi Bluetooth 5.2 LE, Ultra Wide Band, GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C (Gen 3.2), NFC, MST. It has a powerful 4400mAh battery with 25W wired and 10W wireless (WPC and PMA) charging, 4.5W reverse wireless charging

For photos and videos, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 carries a triple rear camera setup that seems to be the same that was available on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 last year. The camera setup comprises a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens and optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 12-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens that has dual OIS support and delivers up to 2x optical zoom and HDR10+ recording.
