Lava just launched the company’s latest budget smartphone in the ‘Z series’ Z61 Pro. The device has a face unlock feature and portrait mode. It has traditional bezels on all sides of the display and a vertically capsule-like camera module at the back.

The smartphone features a 5.45-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with significant bezels on the top and bottom portions and is powered by a 1.6GHz Octa-core processor. The company doesn’t say the Android version, but it is dual SIM. It packs a 3100mAh battery and offers a face unlock feature as well. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers a 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and micro USB.
The device offers 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.
As for the cameras, the Lava Z61 Pro has an 8-megapixel rear camera with the LED flash support sitting beneath the sensor. Upfront, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera hidden inside the top bezel. Camera features include portrait mode (bokeh), burst mode, panorama, filters, beauty mode, HDR, and night mode.

The Lava Z61 Pro comes in Midnight Blue and Amber Red colors and is priced at INR 5774.
