Leaked: Next Nokia 9 to have 5 cameras?

The smartphone industry is revolutionizing at a smart pace and in past few years, we have witnessed many changes in mobile technologies. From bezel-less displays to inbuilt fingerprint scanner and advanced facial bio metrics, we have seen flagship smartphones redefining their phones to set new benchmarks.

Huawei P20 Pro came with the world’s first triple camera set up at the back, a feature that no other brand has released yet. However it looks like that Nokia could be the first one to beat Huawei’s flagship. There have been several rumors about Nokia 9 featuring a Penta-lens camera setup and now there is some evidence for those reports as well.

A leaked image has spotted Nokia smartphone with five cameras. Thought the picture is blur as it is visible through a glass and the reflections are partially altering the image. But the handset clearly showcases five camera sensors in a circular arrangement. Nokia’s logo and Android one branding were also seen at the back of the device.

One more interesting thing that can be seen in the image is the lack of a fingerprint scanner. This might mean Nokia 9 may have an in-built fingerprint scanner. The prototype device perfectly aligns with Zeiss’ patented “Miniature zoom camera” with multiple lenses positioned in a circle. It is no secret that Nokia uses Zeiss lenses in its phones.

But it is still not clear that the leaked image is of the original Nokia 9 and there is a chance that the picture can be fake. Until Nokia comes forward and spills beans on some information, it will not be cleared.

The leak caught fire when a mysterious Nokia smartphone appeared on China’s 3C certification site. While there is no link to Nokia 9, the model number TA-1131 is widely being linked to the upcoming flagship, which might launch sometime in this year.

If true then some details have also been leaked, the Nokia 9 might have a 6.01-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, IP68 certification, in-display fingerprint scanner and 3,900mAh battery with wireless charging support.
