Panasonic launches Eluga Mark with 4G LTE, fingerprint scanner, 5.5 inch screen in India at Rs 11,990

Panasonic has expanded its Eluga line up in India with the introduction of the Eluga Mark. Priced at Rs. 11,990, the USP of the Smartphone is said to be the advanced security features such as android for work support and BYOD (bring your own devices) to spruce up the safety. The BYOD enables private devices to maneuver on secure corporate networks.

The Eluga mark features a 5.5 inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and backed by an Octa Core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with Adreno 405 GPU. The phone has 2GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of internal storage with an option to expand memory up to 32GB via a Micro SD card.

The phone bears a 13 megapixel primary snapper with LED flash and 1080p recording while at front you get 5MP unit. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box with Panasonic FitHome UI on top. The device is fitted by a 2500mah battery.

Besides Dual SIM support, Panasonic Eluga mark offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, / 3G HSPA+, GPS, bluetooth 4.0, FM radio as connectivity options. The device comes in Metallic grey and royal gold colors and also offers a fingerprint sensor which can store up to eight different fingerprints at a single point of time.

Commenting on the launch of Eluga Mark, Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India said, “With the growing use of Smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users. This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with the press of a finger or a swipe of the thumb, is personalized for the user and protects the Smartphone investment. We are approaching an end of the year which brings our portfolio for 2015 to a total of 16 new devices launch with a few more to come.”
