Finally, Mi A2 Lite has been unveiled at an event in Spain, the event saw the unveiling of the Android one phone in the international arena. The specifications and images of the phone have been leaked many times over the past few days, but everyone was waiting for the official prices and release dates, especially in India. At the event the executives of the company disclosed the specifications, check them out below:
It is said that the specifications will be similar to Mi 6X that was launched in China earlier and this phone is expected to be the rebranded version of the same phone, similar as Mi A1 was the revamp of Mi 5X.
Mi A2 Specifications:
The smartphone features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by an Octa-core snapdragon 660 14nm Mobile platform. It runs on Android 8.1 (oreo) and has a hybrid dual SIM option. Similar to Mi A2 Lite the device offers two storage variants including 4GB RAM with 32GB/ 64GB internal memory and 6GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage.
The phone offers a stellar 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 20-megapixel secondary camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and a 20 Megapixel front-facing camera with soft LED flash.
For connectivity, it has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GLONASS, GPS and USB. The phone has a 3010mAh battery with quick charge 3.0.
Mi A2 Lite specifications:
Mi A2 has a 5.84 inches display with 19:9 aspect ratio and it will be powered by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 14nm mobile platform with Adreno 506 GPU. Mi A2 will come with two storage options 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. It is equipped with a powerful battery of 4000 mAh and has a fingerprint sensor as well.
The phone will run on Android 8.1 and has a Dual SIM slot. For connectivity, the phone offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GLONASS+ and GPS.
Mi A2 will have a vertical rear camera with 12 Megapixel and a 5-megapixel camera at the back with AI-driven Portrait mode and 5-megapixel front camera for perfect selfies. Google Lens will be integrated into the camera application on the phone and it will also run Google Assistant. The company also said at the event that they are putting in a lot of effort for improving the selfie and portrait mode of their phones.
Availability and price:
The Mi A2 Lite and Mi A2 will go in sale in Spain, France, and Italy from July and August. It will also come to other countries after August. But only Mi A2 will be launched in India.
Mi A2 Lite will come in Black, Blue and Gold colors and is priced at US$ 209, Approximately INR 14,435 for the 3 GB RAM variant and US$ 268, approximately INR 18,469 or 4GB RAM variant.
The Mi A2 will be available in Blue, Gold and Black colors and is priced at US$ 291 (INR 20,065) for the 4GB RAM version and US$ 326 (INR 22,485) for the 6GB RAM version.
